Bristlewood — Kitchen · Beechwood
Replace the head. Keep the handle.
An oiled beechwood dish brush whose head screws off and is replaced when the bristles wear — so the handle stays with you for years instead of going to landfill whole.
Stiff enough to lift baked-on food off a pan, shaped to reach the bottom of a glass. $12.00 · free tracked shipping.

The idea
Most dish brushes are thrown away whole. This one isn’t.
When the bristles on an ordinary brush wear flat, the entire thing goes in the bin — handle and all. Here the head is the only part that wears, and it screws off. You unthread the spent head, thread on a fresh one, and the oiled beechwood handle carries on for years.
The bristles are stiff enough to lift baked-on food from a pan, yet the head is shaped to reach the bottom of a glass and the inside of a mug. The handle is cut long so it hangs from a hook and dries between uses, instead of sitting wet in the sink.
Why it earns the shelf
- Replaceable head — swap the worn brush head, keep the handle
- Oiled beechwood handle built to last for years, not one season
- Stiff bristles lift baked-on food off a pan
- Head shaped to reach the bottom of a glass and inside a mug
- Cut long to hang from a hook and dry between uses

The object

The piece as it arrives: one brush, one replaceable head, ready for the sink.
A handle of beechwood and one quiet decision
Nothing on it is glued shut and nothing is meant to be discarded but the bristles. When they wear, the head comes off — the handle is the part you keep.

In use
One brush for the whole sink, from the roasting pan to the last glass.

At the pan
Stiff bristles take baked-on food off a pan without you reaching for a scourer or your fingernails.
At the glass
The head is shaped narrow enough to reach the bottom of a glass and the inside of a mug, where a flat brush stops short.
After the wash
Cut long, the handle hangs from a hook to dry — so it never sits wet, and the wood lasts the way oiled beechwood should.
